As always Salon Smart 2019 hosted by Creative Head Magazine bombarded us with a great line up of guest speakers who shared both their success stories and their failings, in the hope that this would motivate and inspire the 250 people in the room.
It kick started on the Sunday 24th March with a line up of inspirational speakers who we could then 'meet and mix' with to discuss further their ideas and how they have overcome business hurdles. I was honoured to have the chance to pick the brains of Andrew Collinge during dinner about his view on modern day apprenticeships, how they have changed over the years and how he is adapting how his salons deliver their training.
Once dinner was over we were treated to a show by Luke Hersheson and his team, they created four separate looks effortlessly cutting the models hair in minutes shortly followed by Luke talking about his career and celebrity client list. Inspirational!!
Day 2 was another jam packed day with the main focus being on 'branding' and a workshop by Ken West from 365 salon solutions.
This was the third time i've been to Salon Smart and i wouldn't miss it, i always walk away buzzing with information and ideas ready to implement them at the salon. Whats always nice is that there will be the 'pat yourself on the back' moments along with the 'we could do that' moments. All in all 2 exhausting days but well worth it! Already looking forward to #salonsmart20
